Handpicked materials for impeccable quality, performance, and durability. Deviation creates a product that not only is a work of art but performs at the highest level.
Our cores are fine tuned for strength, flex, and dampening for a truly unique handcrafted result.
PROGRESSIVE FLEX CORE™ 2.0
Immediately recognizable by its stunning purple heart sidewall, the next generation Progressive Flex Core (PFC) is an evolutionary step forward from the original. By utilizing a trio of ash, poplar, and purple heart wood torsional rigidity and sidewall durability have both improved without packing on a single pound. PFC is the secret sauce in most of our model range. By utilizing a variable width sidewall, meaning a greater portion of the core is composed of purple heart at the tips and tails, the core produces a variable dampening and response that encourages confidence. This unique and balanced flex pattern provides high speed stability and effortless linking of turns.
RESPONSE FLEX CORE™ 2.0
Refreshed with the addition of purple heart sidewalls, the next generation of the Response Flex Core (RFC) is seamless, vertically laminated, ash and purple heart. This no nonsense burly core delivers unparalleled power to the skier while still maintaining responsiveness. Extreme torsional strength results in strong edge hold for the inner racer in you. The RFC features our signature variable width sidewall with a greater portion of purple heart at the tips and tails than underfoot. This provides a balanced flex with variable dampening and response that encourages mach speed turns on everything from fresh corduroy to bulletproof ice.
Flex and response are optimized with hand-laminated exotic wood blends, unavailable anywhere else.
SYMMETRICAL FLEX CORE™ 2.0
The Symmetrical Flex Core (SFC) features our signature variable width sidewall having more purple heart at the nose and tail than at the waist. This provides both a progressive flex and dampening along the entire length of the board. With book matched poplar wood composing the rest of the core, the SFC delivers an even flex for a predictable twin style ride no matter what direction you are heading.
DYNAMIC FLEX CORE™ 2.0
The Dynamic Flex Core (DFC) features a trio of ash, poplar and purple heart woods. This burly combination of wood delivers a fun, playful ride with a strong desire to dig trenches and rail turns. The DFC features our signature variable width sidewall with more purple heart at the nose and tail than at the waist providing variable flex and dampening along the length of the board for all day confidence down any mountain and condition.
STANDING OUT IN THE WOOD.
This beautiful wood adorns all of our sidewalls and is naturally Hydrophobic and weather proof. Purple heart produces an extremely stiff flex pattern that contributes to vibration dampening and absorption.
Provides strength underfoot and along the spine of the core. Ash is extremely durable and one of the best materials for screw retention, eliminating the need for an extra binding mat common in other skis.
One of the more commonly used woods in ski and snowboard construction for good reason. This “poppy” wood is light weight, responsive, and has a medium stiff flex.
No die-cuts or thin extruded bases here. Only the highest quality DuraSurf 4001 sintered base material is used. This ultra high molecular weight material delivers the maximum glide, wax absorption, and durability available.
To deliver damp but responsive flex, we utilize various composites optimized for each model. Triaxial fiberglass and our stable of hand-laminated wood cores combine to produce unparalleled performance.
Edges with real teeth. 2mm thick edges with robust teeth keep our edges in place and strong after years of service. When backed up by our purple heart sidewalls, they provide unparalleled strength to rail every turn.
The glue that holds it all together. Our non-VOC epoxy resin performs in the cold where other epoxies become brittle, ensuring a de-lam free ride without the fumes or toxicity of lesser resins.
